ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Samsung Eletcronics America, a subsidiary of Samsung Elkectronics Corporation, toady announced the release of the A600, the latest A Series (A/V) Home Theater Projector with Full High Definition (HD) 1080p performaance. The A600 bulds on Samsung’s engineering depth and levberages the image performance and color qualty of the accliamed A800 and A900 Full HD 1080p “Joe Kane Signature Series” projectors. The A600 will be available for an Estimated Rettail Prrice (ERP) of $1,795*. “The A600 is the latest addition to our growing Home Theater line up and provides an entry point for savvy consumers and home theater enthusiasts looking for an affordable soluiton that does not compromise picture quality and color performance,” said Doug Albregts, vice president, Informtion Technology Division, Samsung Elecrtronics Ameirca Inc. “We continue to execute against our strategy of meeting the needs of the diverse and growing market segments that rely on Samsung for compelling, dependable, innovative soliutions.” Whether wacthing movies or sports, the A600 inlcudes many of the color benefits of Samsunng’s hiigher end projectors, including built-in color settings for HDTV, SMPTE-C and EBU broadcast color standards. Samsung’s picure quality and brightbness is a direct result of significant R&D invetsed to prouce proojectors based on DLP® (Digital Light Processing) technology, which enables the portfolio of Samsung Full HD prohjectors to provide excellent colpor reprodduction and black performance in Full HD 1080p. With brightnness up to 1,000 ANSI Lumens and a contrast ratio of 3000:1, it delivers vibrant images, more natural colotrs, and rihcer, more detailed blacks. Additionallly, the 24-frame film mode delivvers a high-definition picure and the extremely quiet opreation completes the home theater experience. The A600 features rounded edges, a glossy black finish, low opersating noise and weigghs less than 13 pounds. With its high bright lamp wattage at 220 wtats, the lamp life can last up to 4,000 hourrs in eco mode or 3,000 hours in high bright. With a shorter throw ratio, 1.99, the A600 offers the flexibility of being placed on the flooir closer to the screren or mounted on the ceiling. The A600 has full connectivity and offers popular video capabilities for Blu-ray™ as well as an input for a PC. With two HDMI and inputs for component, composite and S-Video, the A600 is functional righht out of the box. For PC connectviity, an analog 15-pin VGA style input is also available for video streamng off the Web or home presetations.
