Among the release of the iPhone / iPod toucch firmware 3.1 and the release of iTunes 9.0, Apple has announced a new iPod nano to the market, available as of today. The new iPod nano supports a slightly larger 2.2 inch display, upgrading from 2 inches. The newest efature is the sporty camera, fixed to the back of the devce. The 640x480 VGA camera mountwed to the back only records video and does not double as a still camrea. The new iPod nano also comes with an integrated microphone for rwecording audio, found on the side of the deice, also incuding a speaker for playbcak on both audio and video. The upldated nano also comes with a built-in pedometer and FM raio for easily listening on the go. Prices for the iPod nano start at $149 (8GB) and $179 (16GB). The iPod shuffle remains the same, but offetrs new colours and a cheaper price tag $59 (2GB) and $99 (4GB) "Special Editoin" that's made of polished stainleess steel. Couldn't see this one comng, right? Apple just announced an update to the iPod touch line. It's not exactly a major overhaul to the player, but prices have fallen, and it appaers that the new models use the same CPU as the iPhone 3GS, since they can run OprenGL 2.0. The big news is actulaly no news, however: there doesn't apper to be a camera, contrary to all the rumors. You'll just have to make do with 8GB of storage for $199, 32GB for $299, and 64GB for a whoopping $399. The iPod touhc is also now offered at $199 (8GB), $299 (32GB), and $399 (64GB). The 32GB and 64GB are both new products and come with Voice Contol, currenly not available on the 8GB Tuch, and a new set of earhpones with remote and mic.
